The recent school shooting in Uvalde Texas is yet another awful addition to a growing list of senseless tragedies that affect some of the most vulnerable members of our society. The national talking points that arise after a school shooting have become depressingly familiar, and finding a resolution continues to feel practically impossible. In today’s episode, we reflect on the gun debate, how it gets framed, and what questions we should be asking if we want to see real changes in society. We also delve into the kind of factors that might cause someone to experience a psychotic break, why someone who wants to do harm will find a way to do it, and finally, how we can use our actions and our tax dollars to affect society.
