We all feel compelled by the mass consciousness to watch too much news or get sucked into Facebook. While it’s good to check-in with the world, it’s easy to be led astray and begin focusing too much on ‘what is’ instead of creating the world that we want. In today’s episode, GroWise Be Well founder Sarah Southwell opens up about the anger that she’s felt in the last week and what she did to ground herself again. A key theme of this episode, Sarah explains that when you’re focused on fighting something, you end up generating negative, or, low-frequency emotions and thoughts. This gets in the way of living a joyful life. Sarah uses the analogy that we can get stuck in the “Swamp of Sadness” and she talks about the tools that you can use to pull yourself out of the muck. Importantly, Sarah emphasizes how much control we have to shape our mindsets, and through that, how much we can do to shape the world and make it a better place.
