About Light Therapy

Light Therapy, also called Phototherapy, helps ease seasonally-induced mood disorders, sleep issues, dementia, and adjusting to a new wake/sleep schedule. Other types of light therapy lamps help treat skin conditions like psoriasis. During light therapy, you sit or work near a specially designed light box/lamp. Be careful not to look directly into the lamp as the light can injure your eyes. Time and consistency are key to getting the most out of light therapy, so consider setting your light box on your desk on anywhere you spend a lot of time.
