Hi, everyone. Hi, friends. Sarah here with GroWise Be Well. I have been asked to record my morning visualization meditation that I do every morning. I will just warn you that I have only tried to lead other people through this meditation once, and so bear with me. It’s a bit complicated in the sense that you have to play a part in it. You have to help create the visualizations that come to your mind. I think the best way to go about this is for me to explain the meditation a little bit before I run through it. I think, actually what I’m going to do is explain the meditation in this episode, and then I will create an episode just for you to replay whenever you want to, to run through the meditation. That way, you don’t have to go and listen to all this explanation again every time you want to hear the meditation. I think I’m going to separate them out.
This is going to be very, very important if you are doing this visutation for the first time or if you just need a reminder about what it’s about and where you need to be very participatory. I have combined a few different meditation visualization techniques from a few different people. One of the people is Carol Look who is a master of tapping, EFT tapping. She asked one time in a session if I had checked in with my body, if I had talked to my body. So I decided to start talking to my body. She recommended a daily conversation, checking in every day, finding a quiet space and saying, “Hi, body. How are you? Is there something you need for me today? Is there something that I can help you with?”
I started doing that and within a very short time, I started to realize that when I did that, I would close my eyes, and I would place my hand on my chest. I kind of place my hand somewhere on my body that just kind made me realize that it wasn’t like just laying my hand on my lap. It was like I am being very conscious about the fact that I’m trying to connect with my body vessel. I put it right on my chest and I would say, “Good morning, body. How are you today?” I started to realize that my body, really in my mind’s eye became a house. The first time I went in my house, it was a bit dark and it was dusty. I hadn’t checked in with my body in a long time. I started tidying up and every time I’d go back and visit, it would get brighter, and lighter, and I’d get another set of windows and it started to transform because I was taking better care of it and we were having a better relationship with one another.
My house, my body house, it’s a small Cape Cod style up on a cliff, not a sharp cliff, but a beautiful grassy knoll basically, but it definitely along a coastline. Then it has a very gentle sloping hill down to an inlet from the sea. My house has a side porch now, didn’t used to. I has two stories. The bottom level is where I have a sitting area, and I overlook the bay and I have a stove, a wood stove that I get going every morning. Then upstairs is my bed and big windows on all sides, right on three sides. I’ve adapted a suggestion from Carol Look who said, “You really need to connect with your body and talk to it.” I realized that my body is a house.
When I talk to other people about this and they run through this, it seems to resonate with them and they all have different size houses, and they all have different shapes in different locations. Some people have really bright, wide, open spaces because they’ve been communicating with their body and everything is clean, and sunny and others are very dark. In fact, one woman said that she felt really embarrassed because she went into her house for the first time when I ran her through this and it was a really old, kind of decrepit house and she was really disturbed by that. Of course, that just means, she just hadn’t checked in. You just haven’t loved on your body.
I realized talking with Carol Look and going through the EFT tapping sessions, which by the way, I highly recommend, that she brought up the fact that because I was shamed in my body from a very young age. I was told that round people, people that aren’t super skinny like my sister. My sister was super skinny. She probably still is. People who had more fat on them were not accepted in society and that I really needed to get a handle on that because I was starting to kind of get round. Because of that, I started to literally see my body from someone else’s perspective, from the outside.
Carol suggested that maybe I left my body a long time ago and I haven’t checked in. I haven’t wanted to work with my body, I’ve only wanted to whip it and drive it like a husky dog on a trail. Like, “Hey! Come on! Let’s go and let’s just do this and do what I need you to do.” When my body revolts now and it’s like, “No! I’m not doing that.” Then I kind of go, “Oh my God! What’s wrong with me.” Because of that, I checked in with Carol and she said, “Well, I mean, I think your body is trying to talk to you and are you listening? Do you have a relationship with your body?” I was like, “Oh God! No! What do you mean I need to talk to my body? I mean, I dress it every day. Isn’t that enough? And I feed it. Gosh! Darn it this thing. It needs to be fed all the time and watered.” Anyway, I now have a great relationship with my body, so I can chuckle about that now. But honestly, I feel like I was out of my body for years, and years and years.
It drove me to very detrimental behavior with my body. Frankly, have a decrepit, old house, and having dust and having no windows is, I have to say, it’s pretty typical if you have been abusing your body or been out your body for a long time. That will change. Your body wants to have a great relationship with you. Part of this Visutation, back to the fact that this is part of a Visutation, as one part is that you have to decide and it will come to you. You don’t have to decide ahead of time. In fact, I don’t recommend you do. When I lead you through, your mind will automatically conjure your home. I’ve heard of homes in the woods on a creek. I’ve heard of homes with one side, there’s a field of wildflowers. In the other window, there’s a beautiful desert landscape.
Look, your mind, your body will talk to you and tell you. It will pretty much design the house for you. But what you’re going to be asked to do is go into that house and say, “Hello, body. How are you?” The very first thing we do, I do is I go through this every day as I say, “Let’s get those shades up.” For me, it’s become this, let’s awaken to our day, let’s awaken to each other and let’s open up to each other, and the world, and the universe and the multiple planes of existence. That’s what it means for me to open up my shades. You don’t have to open your shades. I tell you to in the Visutation, do what feels natural for you, but it is good to let that light in and to shake off those drapes if they’ve got some dust on them. I go in and when I first started doing this Visutation with my body, I actually didn’t have automated shades. I’d have to go over to each one and like open the shade and then pull the drapes open.
Recently, I’ve installed, I guess about six months ago, a year ago, I realized I don’t need to do that anymore. I will simply put a button on the wall of the room I go into and I have automated shades now. You can create whatever you want in your body house. I go in, I hit a button, it starts opening the shades on the downstairs level. There are no drapes on my downstairs level. I think that goes back to the fact that I just like my eyes wide open and I don’t really want to close them down, but there are drapes upstairs. I think that to me, that’s symbolic that I like to keep my essence somewhat protected from other’s energy. That I think is wonderful, so I’m great with that. I go upstairs, I hit the button again and my electric shades come up. Then I go round to each of the big windows and I have to open them up. They’re like big velvet curtains and I pull them open and I say, “Wow! Today is a glorious day.”
That, I just need to let you know ahead of time, that I am going to ask you to enter your body house. Just being aware, that when I lead you through that, that’s what I mean by that. When I say, “I’m going to go upstairs and open my shades,” you know what I’m talking about now. Your main bedroom may be down the hall. It may be in another pod that’s connected. It may be downstairs. All these things are going to be a little different for you, so I’m going to run you through my visutation and you are going to, in your mind’s eye, alter it and make it yours.
Now, the next thing that I do is I go to my wood stove. I have a wood stove. You’re going to have any kind of stove, but to me, this represents my chi fire. I want to get my chi fire going every day. I always say, “Okay. I’m going to get my chi fire going and I go back downstairs and I put a bunch of wood in my wood stove.” Some days, it’s whatever I need to burn. It could be feelings, it could be inflammation, fat, whatever, right? I mean, it can be anything I need to release and let go. In some days, it’s just wood. I just simply — it’s just wood. Most days, it is and I just pack that thing full. Then of course, the embers from the night before, because your chi fire never goes out. I mean, unless you die, but it never goes out and so it’s always a little burning. I pack it full and the flame start up and I shut the door.
Now, the reason why I chose wood stove is because I like the fact that wood stove is super-efficient and they release their heat slowly over a long period of time. That’s why I chose that because I personally need to have that in my life. But if you have a lot of chief fire in your life, you might want a big wide-open fireplace that will take that heat out and get that out for you. Then, I sit down on my sofa and I check in with my body, run through it again. Then the next thing I do that I’ve taken from a suggestion from someone else, her name is Kathryn Schiff and she is an intuitive healer. In fact, she’s probably the most powerful intuitive healers I’ve ever met. I took a course from her on intuition and psychic awareness. Running your energy is something she wants you to do every day. At first, when I started learning all these different things, I was like, “Oh my gosh! I don’t want to do this, and then stop, and then do that, and then stop and then do that.” I just figured out a way to put them all together. That’s why this needs a little explanation.
Kathryn Schiff recommends that you run your energy every day. I have modified her energy running just a little bit, so I will run through that when I go through the Visutation with you because it really doesn’t need much more than that, but you’re going to do a grounding cord and I’ll instruct you on that. Then you’re going to do Earth energy through your feet, celestial energy through the top of your head. Then there’s a couple other steps along the way. But that, I will explain as we go along. I just wanted to give credit out to Kathryn Schiff, because it’s an amazing powerful tool and I feel fantastic after I do it every day.
Then from there, I go out and I use another piece from another gentleman, Jon Gabriel, who does visualizations for weight loss and just really — just feeling great. He has this white light ocean that you go swim in. I also have modified that a little bit from what he has suggested, because again, I will say this over and over and over again. GroWise Be Well is about empowering you to be you. Not follow somebody else, not mimic someone else. When you listen to the Visutation, I really want you to personalize it. I really need you, your body needs you to, your soul needs you to personalize it. Please don’t just follow exactly what I do, because it won’t be for you. When I run you through it, that’s mine, right? So you need to figure out what works for you. Please take my Visutation and while your eyes are closed, make it your own. That is what I think the entire world is about is learning ways to work with our own individual energies and combining them into a massive great whole that will rise up into love and joy.
Okay. That is really it for the explanation. I will say that I do have guides and guardians that I do recognize during my Visutation. You might have some too that you might want to recognize or there in your house when you get there. Your white light ocean might be a creek, or a river, or a pond. All of it again is going to be your personalization.
