When you hear the word “meditation” you may think of someone sitting cross-legged on a pouf with their eyes closed. That’s just one form of meditation, however. To meditate is to clear your mind, balance your emotions, and recalibrate your awareness from the hustle and bustle of everyday life to a higher dimension. It takes practice to let thoughts pass without following them, and there are many different techniques for reaching and resting in a meditative state. Meditation is a subcategory under the Mindfulness modality.
